Tom Maheras

Tom Maheras joined IPC in 2019 as a Partner and Portfolio Manager of IPC Public Credit. Concurrently, Tom is the Founder and Managing Partner of Tegean Capital Management, LLC, an alternative investment firm based in New York. Prior to Tegean, Tom had several senior roles at Citigroup – Chairman and Co-CEO of Capital Markets and Banking and CEO of Global Capital Markets. Tom was previously at Salomon Brothers, where he was the Head of Global Fixed Income as well as Head of High Yield Trading and the Mortgage Securities Department. Additionally, Tom served as Chairman of the U.S. Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee where he worked closely with senior Treasury and Federal Reserve officials. He also served as Director of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Tom earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He is currently a Chairman of the Board at Discover Financial Services, Inc. Tom is also a Board Trustee of the University of Notre Dame and Chairman of the University of Notre Dame Investment Committee as well as Board Trustee of Carnegie Hall, currently serving as its Treasurer.
